2nd August 2017 Windsurfing: Rhosneigr Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: F5 &F6 Surf / Sea State: waves Air Temperature: 20 Sea Temperature: 16 Weather: sun Max Speed: 21.5/2secs (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 16 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Only two out when I arrived quickly followed by about twenty. Fella ok on 5m so rigged 5.2m and nice first few runs, then great as wind increased until after excellent 40mins was overpowered so changed down like everyone else, and was caught out like everyone else as wind eased. Tried a few runs on 86/4.7 but just about getting back to start. Changed to 96l and at end of 1.5 hour wind gap when 5.2m would have been ok wind came back and had very nice time on 96/4.7m. Waves were building as tide climbed and tried and got in one front turn. Lots to practice.. Wind died again after 30 mins but went home instead of changing back up to 5.2m. Lovely day of warm sun, wind, waves and sand. Conditions easier on short tides. though surf getting bigger today. |
